Basic Autoplan is mandatory vehicle insurance in British Columbia and includes Enhanced Accident Benefits and Basic Vehicle Damage Coverage. Basic Vehicle Damage Coverage applies when the other driver is responsible; repairs when you are responsible require optional Collision coverage.

Collision covers vehicle repair and replacement costs, even when you are at fault. It is optional coverage offered in addition to mandatory Basic Autoplan.
